BJP national president Rajnath Singh today said the role of party stalwarts including L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi will be decided later by the party if it comes to power at the Centre.

"A meeting of all the senior leaders will be called later to discuss role of the stalwarts in the post-poll scenario," Singh told reporters after a meeting with BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.

The meeting was also attended by senior BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari.

Mr Singh said there was no doubt that Mr Modi will be the next Prime Minister. In a bid to attract allies, Mr Singh said if any party will support the BJP it was welcome.

"There is a need of the magic figure of 272 to run the government but there is a need of support from all the political parties to run a big country," the BJP chief said.

Mr Singh refuted that there was any rift or differences within the party over portfolios if the party comes to power.

When asked about the next Gujarat Chief Minister, he said matter will be decided by the BJP Parliamentary Board.

Mr Singh said he requested Mr Modi to come to Delhi on May 17, a day after counting of votes, and Parliamentary Board will meet on that day.
