The Karnataka government today approved three new projects that brings an investment of Rs 839 crore and create 2100 jobs.


Brifing reporters after the State High Level Clearance Committee Meeting held here, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the meeting attended by ministers and chief secretary Kaushik Mukherjee also reviewed implementation of the projects sanctioned by the Congress government in 2013-14.

'During 2013-14, we have approved 251 projects with an investment of Rs 42117.19 crore generating an employment to 170491 persons. We have amended Industry Facilitation Act and decentralised powers to approve projects at District level Single Window meeting,' he said.

District level Single Window headed by Deputy Commissioner has got powers to approve projects wherein cost of the project is Rs 15.00 crore.

State Level Single Window Clearance Committee headed by Chief Secretary to Government has got powers to approve projects wherein cost of the project is in between Rs 15.00 crores to Rs 100 crore.

State level High Level Committee will approve projects of more than Rs 100 crore investment, Mr Siddaramaiah said.
