Don't underestimate a 'tea vendor': Modi to Sonia
Lashing out at the Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi once again for calling him a tea vendor, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today asked the former not to underestimate him as he has the right to live in dignity and fulfill his dreams.
"I have seen poverty, run a tea-stall.I might reel under adverse conditions again, but I have the right to live with dignity and fulfill my dreams," Mr Modi said while addressing an election meeting here.
"Ms Gandhi and other party leaders can mock at me calling me a tea-seller, but it is not a crime," he remarked.
"I assure to give you a stable and strong government, but I only want the support of the people," the Gujrat Chief Minister asserted," he claimed.
He claimed that the departure of Congress president and her son Rahul Gandhi was definite this time.
"The youth have got to know the real face of the Congressmen and ready to create awareness among the youth," Mr Modi commented.
The people are fed-up of the weak and anti-people policies of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government. Thousands of villages are reeling under power crisis and lack of basic facilities," he claimed.
Earlier too, the Congress supremo and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had accused Mr Modi of doing "neech rajneeti" politics. Mr Modi had allegedly associated these remarks with his backward caste and hit out at the Congress leaders for insulting him.
In his speech, Mr Modi further rapped the Samajwadi Party government for its "anti-people policies." He promised better development in Poorvanchal, if the BJP-led NDA government comes to power at the Centre.
The Deoria Lok Sabha seat is going to polls on May 12.
