Yet another book on Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's model of governance has been launched here.

The book titled 'Centrestage: Inside the Narendra Modi Model of Governance', which was launched yesterday by eminent Gujarati litterateur Gunvant Shah, is written by renowned journalist Uday Mahurkar.

'This book is about Narendra Modi, the administrator who believes that good governance is good politics. "It aptly captures the essence of a leader whose time to lead might have arrived at the national level sooner or later," Mr Shah said.

He said for Mr Modi, Sardar Patel was the role model and as far as governance was concerned, the litterateur expressed, the Gujarat Chief Minister follows Morarji Desai's model of governance.

Mr Mahurkar shared his experience with Mr Modi since 1986 and his observation about the latter's model of governance.

The book focuses on Mr Modi's core governance in key areas like power, agriculture, water, finance management and use of technology in governance, besides his many visionary initiatives.

It gives a deep insight as to what is at the centre of his core beliefs when it comes to governance. The book explores whether the Modi model has answers to country's problems.

All this was based on Mr Mahurkar's interaction with Mr Modi since 1986-87, when he entered BJP.
