'Kochadaiiyaan' features the unique visual mastery of Photorealistic Performance Capture technology for the first time in the history of Indian cinema. Besides The original Tamil, the film will also be released in Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri and Punjabi in 2D and 3D in over 6000 screens worldwide.

The release of'Kochadaiiyan' means that Rajini will be having a release after a gap of four years. His last film was the science fiction flick 'Enthiran', directed by another Kollywood super director K Shankar.
