The Youth Congress in Kerala today claimed that the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) would score a shining victory in the elections to the Lok Sabha, with more seats than the previous elections.


Youth Congress Kerala unit President Dean Kuriakose told reporters here that the meeting evaluated that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had full fledged support from the youths in the just concluded elections to the Lok Sabha, which according to him was the very existence of secularism in the country.

On the decision of the Kerala government imposing a ban on use of foreign liquor in the state, he said the Youth Congress would support the decision of the Party as well as UDF in this regard.

However, he said the Youth Congess would strive hard to make the youth aware of the negative aspects of consuming liquor.

Pointing out the alarming increase of liquor consumption by youths and students in the state, he stressed the need for banning the use of liquor in a phased manner.
