Top seeded Indian player Ramkumar Ramanathan snuffed out the spirited challenge of Sergei Bubka of Ukraine in the second round singles match of the @ 10,000 Turkey F14 Futures at Antalya - Belconti (Turkey) today.


After losing the first set in tie-breaker, Ramkumar staged a fine rally to register a well-merited three-set verdict by 6-7(5) 6-4 6-4. With this win, Ramkunar moved into quarter-final.

Later partnering with Andrei Ciumca of Moldova, Ramkumar Ramanathan defeated Alexander Jhun (Great Britain) and Yusuke Watanuki (Japan) 6-4 6-3 in the doubles quarter-final match.

SAI VAISHNAVI LOSES: In the $10,000 ITF Women's Tennis Tournament at Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt), Sai Vaishnavi Peddi Reddy of India made her exit from singles and doubles competitions. In the singles second round match, eighth seed Katie Boulter of Great Britain beat Sai Vaishnavi (7-6(3) 6-3 . Sri Vaishnavi and Anna Bogoslavets of Ukraine lost to Eden Silva (GBR) and Elena Van Der Sypt (BEL0 6-6, 4-6 in doubles quarter-final fixture.
