Shooting of Rajinikanth's Lingaa starts in Chamundi hills
Shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth's new venture, directed by K S Ravikumar, titled 'Lingaa' kickstarted atop the Chamundi hills early today.
The film's shooting began with clapping of a scene in front of Sri Chamundeshwari temple by Rajini's close friend and Karnataka Housing Minister Ambareesh.
Film producer Rakline Venkatesh along with film Director K S Ravikumar and Ambreesh wife Sumalatha also offered poojas on the occasion.
The film shooting will be held around Mysore and Mandya district for nine days from tomorrow.
Interestingly, Linga is the name of Rajini's grandson (son of Dhanush and the Superstar's elder daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush). Rajini is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.
Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty are the leading ladies of Lingaa and music is by renowned music director A R Rehaman. In the film, 'Thalaivar' will be seen in two different roles.
Film director Ravikumar has earlier made two films of Rajinikanth, Mutthu and Padaiyappa, both were grand success.
The shooting was expected to take place in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh besides 40 per cent of shooting will be in Karnataka.
