'School Chalen Ham Abhiyan' in four phases
The school enrolment drive -- 'School Chalen Ham Abhiyan' -- for the enrolment of all children, aged between 6-14 years, for this year will be run in four phases.
The first phase has commenced on Wednesday while the second phase will begin from June 10. The third phase will be before first phase of the Pratibha Parv and fourth phase before second phase of the Pratibha Parv.
In this regard, detailed directives have been given jointly by the Principal Secretary School Education and the Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare to all collectors and Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officers, an official release said yesterday.
In this phase, lists of children admissible in class I will be prepared till May 5. Besides, village education registers will also be updated. Lists of children admissible in class VI will be prepared till May 9.
Parents of pass outs of class VIII will be called and motivated to admit their wards in class IX by the school in-charge. Lists of children admissible in class I, VI and IX will be uploaded on the portal on June 1. During the campaign, teachers will meet parents door-to-door.
In this phase, village in-charge will contact children's mothers at anganwadi centres from June 10 to 16. Parents will be motivated to come with children of six years of age at school on June 16. Teachers will meet parents twice between June 11 and 16. An admission festival will be held in schools on June 16.
Besides, a bridge course will be conducted from June 25 to July 20 in which admission will be given to children in class II to V, VII and VIII till June 25. Admission of migration children will be done till July 31. Identification and registration of unregistered children will be done till June 30.
