Igniting yet another controversy, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal today said the people, who will cast their vote to Congress and BJP, will 'betray' the nation as well as the God.

"I appeal to the voters not to exercise their franchise either to the Congress or BJP and if they don't do this, it will be like betraying the nation and the God," Mr Kejriwal said during an election meeting in favour of party candidate from Amethi Lok Sabha seat, Kumar Vishwas.

Claiming the victory of Mr Vishwas at this parliamentary constituency, the AAP chief claimed that the former will emerge as the winner, if voting was conducted just now.

"Vishwas got maximum in the 'instant polls', followed by Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi and BJP's Smriti Irani," he added.

Alleging Congress of distrubuting gifts to the voters, Mr Kejriwal said that people should vote only for his party, if they want a real change.

He further stated that Congress was fearing its defeat from this seat, hence party vice-president Rahul Gandhi's sister Priyanka Vadra is campaigning in his favour since past 14 days.

The Amethi Lok Sabha seat is going to polls on May 7.
