The highest maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded at Khammam today.


According to a Meteorological Department bulletin here, the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at a few places over Telangana, rose at a few places over Rayalaseema and at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over Telangana, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema and normal over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over Telangana during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers would occur at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the same period. The sky over Hyderabad and neighbourhood would be partly cloudy during the next two days. Rain or thundershowers would occur in parts of city.

Maximum and Minimum temperatures would be around 41 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

Observations recorded till 0830 hours today indicated that Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema and Telangana.

Chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Visakhapatnam Ap (dist Vishakhapatnam) 3, Veeragattam (dist Srikakulam) 3, Anakapalle(a) (dist Vishakhapatnam) 1, Anakapalli (dist Vishakhapatnam) 1, Visakhapatnam (dist Vishakhapatnam) 1, Peddapuram(a) (dist East Godavari) 1, Gajapathinagaram (dist Vizianagaram) 1, Bobbili (dist Vizianagaram) 1, Vijayanagaram (dist Vizianagaram) 1, Parvatipuram (dist Vizianagaram) 1 of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, the bulletin added.
