Modi hits out at Congress
BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today lashed out at the Congress alleging it had turning the country into 'Scam India' during its ten-year rule.
Mr Modi, who launched his maiden campaign in Seemandhra by addressing a public meeting in the temple town of Tirupathi last night, subsequently addressed a series of rallies with a clarion call to the people to support the TDP-BJP combine in the state and the BJP-led NDA at the Centre to ensure effective and development-oriented governments at both places.
Addressing a well-attended public meeting in the coastal town of Nellore this afternoon, Mr Modi said if the people voted with good majority to bring the BJP to the saddle at the Centre, he would spare no pains to convert the country into 'skill India' utilising the services of the youth.
Mr Modi said 70 per cent of the country's population comprised youth below 35 years of age, and involving the services of the youth profitably, the country could be turned into a great developed nation.
Mr Modi said he and the TDP chief had the same vision - to develop the state and the country.
