BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus organised one day National Seminar on 'Indian Space Technology-present and future' (NSIST-2014) here tody as a part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of BITS Pilani.

Dr K Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Secretary, Department of Space, Government of India was the chief guest.

He also delivered Mr G D Birla Memorial lecture on 'reach and relevance of the space program in India'.

He also presented future programs of ISRO and their relevance to society.

Prof VS Rao, Director, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus felicitated Dr Radhakrishnan on this occasion of him being conferred Padma Bhushan by Government of India.

On the occasion, Mr S Ramakrishnan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Mr A S Kiran Kumar, Director, Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad, Dr V Narayanan, Deputy Director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, Dr MYS Prasad, Director, Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Shri Sumitesh Sarkar, Group Director, , Space Application Centre, Ms Manju Sarma, Group Head, National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad, Mr Bhanu Murthy, Group Director, NRSC, Dr PG Diwakar, Group Director, NRSC delivered lectures on various aspects of space program and technology.
