All India trade Union Congress( AITUC) Goa state General Secretary Christopher Foneseca calls upon all the working masses in Goa to rally across the state and to raise a powerful united struggle of the working masses to realise all the May-day demands.

Mr Fonseca addressing the workers on the occasion of the May day today at Azad Maidan demanded that the government of Goa immediately lift the mining ban imposed by it on September 10,2012 for the immediate commencement of mining activity on scientific and sustanable manner as per Supreme court order of April 21,2014 and as per MMDR act, 1957.

The May day, calls upon the Government of Goa to establish a Goa Mining Ore Development Corporation for the long term benefit of the people and a safety- net to protect the mining people and the stake- holders. Earlier a huge rally was organized by AITUC workers in the capital city from main bus stand and went around the city and later culminated into the public meeting at Azad Maidan.
