BJP's PM candidate Modi, Naidu and Pawan offer prayers at hill shrine
BJPs's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and its poll-ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu offered prayers to lord Venkateswaray swamy here this morning.
Amid tight security, Mr Modi accompanied by Mr Naidu and Jana Sena Party (JSP) founder and Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan, who arrived here last night after kicking off his first election campaign in seemandhra region at Tarakarama stadium in Tirupati, had worshiped the lord Balaji during the morning rituals in Tirumala temple.
After darshan, Mr Modi and Mr Naidu were presented srivari prasamds by the TTD officials at Ranganayakula mandapam inside the temple complex.
Before leaving for Madanapalle to address election public meeting, both the leaders will also offer prayers at Srikalahasti temple.
Mr Modi will also address series of public meetings at Nellore at 1234 hours, Guntur at 1450 hours, Bhimavaram at 1540 hous and at Visakhapatnam at 1750 hours.
Mr Naidu and Mr Kalyan will also be sharing the dais with Mr Modi at all public meetings.
Congress leaver kavuri Sambasiva Rao will formally be inducted into the BJP at the Bhimavaram public meeting.
The TDP, which is waging a do-or-die battle in Seemandhra, is pinning its hopes on the meetings of Modi.
