Police burst teargas shells to disperse protestors in north Kashmir
Security forces burst teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse demonstrators, protesting against the killing of a youth in security force firing in Srinagar last evening.
Official sources said hundreds of people, mostly youths, took to streets at main chowk Bandipora, raising pro separatist slogans.
The demonstrators clashed with security forces after they were asked to disperse.
Security forces resorted to lathicharge which had no impact on demonstrators, who were regrouping again and pelting stones.
Later security forces burst teargas shells to restore order, sources said adding the ding-dong battle was going on when the reports last came in.
Reports of protests were also received from Pulwama also.
