2 AAP workers thrashed in Varanasi; case lodged
Two workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were thrashed allegedly by BJP activists in Assi area of this religious city in Uttar Pradesh.
The AAP workers, Nandan and Ankit, were distributing pamphlets to campaign in favour of party chief Arvind Kejriwal when some BJP workers had a spat with them last night.
According to police, the matter worsened and the BJP activists thrashed AAP leaders. Police have registered a case against unknown persons.
Mr Kejriwal is contesting against the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat.
