HP minister hails court's decision of banning Ramdev yoga shivirs
Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today welcomed the court's decision of not permitting yoga shivir of Baba Ramdev in Kangra and Chamba and said he had became more of a political guru rather than a yogi.
The court yesterday rejected the plea of the Swabhiman Trust to permit it to hold a yog shivir in Kangra and Chamba.
Earlier, the trust was granted permission by the administration on April 16 to conduct yog shivirs in various parts of Kangra on April 28 and in Chamba. The Election Commission issued a letter to all Election Officers not to permit yog shivirs involving political campaigning in order to maintain peace and harmony during elections. In a statement here, the Minister said as the election was nearing Baba Ramdev taking advantage of Yoga camps was advocating to vote in favour of BJP candidates all over the country.
Moreover, his comments against Rahul Gandhi and on Dalits shows that Ramdev was dividing the people on basis of caste and religion and was speaking the language of BJP and RSS, he alleged.
He said Ramdev projects himself as 'secular' but his ostentatious remarks that Rahul doesn't wants to marry a 'desi' girl, however, he likes going to Dalits places for picnics and honeymoons.' reveals of his communal mindset and has drawn flak from all quarters.
