Newly wed couple take voting pledge at their marriage
A newly-wed couple took a pledge at their marriage in the city that they would exercise their franchiese without fail.
Nikhil and Kavya, son and daughter of Anitha-Madhusudhan Bojja and Padmavathi-Tiruchunapalli Ravinder Kumar respectively, tied the knot at Kalyan Lakshmi Gardens, Nagole X Roads on April 23.
Minutes after their wedding, they took the voting pledge amidst the presence of friends, relatives and well wishers that they will vote in the first phase in Telangana region on April 30.
They took the pledge 'I, an Indian citizen, take oath that I will exercise my valuable right given by the Constitution of India, of casting my vote, under every possible circumstance and whenever I get the opportunity.
I will make all possible efforts to use my vote to elect a public representative who would meet nation's expectations and, I also take oath that I would also encourage other people to vote with awareness.
Later, they ensured that their guests also took the pledge.
