Modi eclipses BJP: Union Minister Chiranjeevi
Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi today said Prime Ministerial candidate Nadrendra Modi of BJP has 'eclipsed' the party and opined that highlighting an individual is not good for the party.
Addressing a news conference here today, he ridiculed that Narendra Modi had become synonym to the BJP. Allowing a leader overshadowing the party was not a healthy to a political party. The name of 'Adani' is being heard in the BJP instead of Advani, he ridiculed.
Telugu Desam party, in a desperate mood, aliened with the BJP, he alleged and blamed that N Chandrababu Naidu wanted to come to power at any cost. He pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu announced Muslim declaration but did not give ticket to the sitting Muslim MLA in Hindupur, which he allocated to his brother-in-law and film actor N Balakrishna. Mr.Chiranjeevi flayed that the TDP had encouraged corporate people by allocating them tickets.
Referring former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's criticisation against him, he said that the former knew that the Centre was going to bifurcate the state much earlier, but kept quit. Mr.Reddy fomented the anti-bifurcation stir for his political mileage, he flayed.
Referring quitting of leaders from the Congress party, he said that there was no loss to the party, if some leaders quit since new generation leaders had got opportunity to contest in the election.
The Union Minister said that he had campaigned in East Godavari, West Godavari and campaigning in the Krishna district and added he was receiving overwhelming response from people. Former Ministers Dokka Manikyavara Vara Prasad, C Ramachandraiah, MLA Malladi Vishnu and MLC I Venkaiah were present. Former BJP city president Anumumolu Gandhi joined the BJP in the presence of Chiranjeevi.
