DC, CP warns against misuse of postal ballot
District Collector M Raghunandana Rao and Commissioner of Police B Srinivasulu today warned stern action against those who misuse the postal ballots.
Addressing a press conference here, District Collector said that 42 thousand postal ballot papers were printed and the polling staff could cast their postal vote at the facilitating centres on April 28 and 29.
He said web casting facility would be installed in 2,932 polling stations. As many as 3.065 students of IIIT in Nuzvid would be availing the opportunity of handing the webcasting system. The District Collector informed that 33,37,071 voters slips were printed for Krishna district.
Commissioner of Police Srinivasulu said that in the previous elections, it was found that 12 postal ballots were misused and the delinquent was suspended. He warned of stern action who misuse the postal ballots. He said that Para-military, CRPF, Special Task Force police personal would be deployed on the Election Day. He said that 11 check posts were set up at various places in the district.
