Rahul appeals people to create golden Telangana
Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi today appealed to all sections of the people to join hands with the party to create a 'Golden Telangana' and convert Hyderabad the number one IT city in the country.
Addressing a largely attended public meeting at the sprawling Lal Bahadur stadium here this evening, he said his wish was to wear a wrist watch or a T-shirt bearing the mark 'made in Hyderabad' or 'made in Telangana'. These articles now bear the 'made in China' mark.
He appealed to people from all walks of life, SCs ,STc, OBCs and minorities to become partners in the development of Telangana for which the Congress was whole heartedly committed. Just as the Congress kept its word to create Telangana, the party would also fulfil its promise now to develop Telangana.
Announcing a plethora of promises for the development of Telangana and Hyderabad, he said two lakh jobs in private sector and one lakh jobs in the government sector would be created in the next five years.
Mr Gandhi said people from all over contributed for the development of Hyderabad whose culture was love and living in brotherhood, which should be maintained in future too.
He said the Congress would ensure the safety of all people including those from Seemandhra living in Hyderabad.
