The city police have claimed a major breakthrough by nabbing 20 people of four gangs including four juveniles today and recovered stolen property from them.

The police recovered 3.5 kg silver ornaments, 680 gm gold ornaments, Rs 3.59 lakh cash, three bikes and few other valuables from the four gangs.

The police launched man hunt for nine more accused including, eight inter-state criminals in connection with the gangs.

Addressing the media here today,Commissioner of Police B Shivadhar Reddy said that police nabbed a three-member gang of burglar D Taraka Venkatesh (27), P Lova Raju (22), P Srinivasa Rao (23), who were involved in 15 burgling incidents.

He said that the trio have stolen 4.5 kg sivler, 307-gm gold ornaments, electronic goods, all worth Rs 5.5 lakh.

Police said Venkatesh is also involved in a 2011 murder case and was arrested.
