Sun is playing hide and seek after light rain in Kashmir
Sun was again playing hide and seek after light rains in the morning in the Kashmir valley, where light to moderate rain or thundershowers are predicted tomorrow.
However, the maximum and minimum temperatures were above normal during the past 24 hours.
A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon there could be light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. However, weather will remain dry in Ladakh region.
With further improvement in the weather, the temperatures witnessed increase during the past 24 hours in the valley.
Met spokesman said there was considerable improvement in the night temperature at world famous ski resort of Gulmarg. Against yesterday's 1 degree, the minimum temperature was 4 degree there, he said.
At Pahalgam, it was 5.4 degree against yesterday's 2.6 degree, he said, adding at Qazigund it was 9 degree, four notches more than yesterday's, Kokernag 9.9 degree, two degree above normal and Kupwara 7.3 degree, a notch below normal.
The summer capital, Srinagar also recorded 11.5 degree minimum temperature, four degree more than yesterday.
Met spokesman said there could be light rain or thundershowers and the maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 20 degree and 6 degree during the next 24 hours.
