HC asks UP govt to recruit sub-inspectors as per earlier ad
Allahabad High Court today rejected the special appeal of the Uttar Padesh government and directed it to complete the recruitment process of policemen as per its earlier advertisement.
The bench consisting of Justices Sunil Ambvani and Satish Chandra passed this order on the special appeal of the state government.
The court has called the decision of the state government to cancel the recruitment process of the sub-inspectors as 'illogicial' and directed it to continue the same as per the earlier advertisment.
The UP Government had advertised to recruit 3698 sub-inspectors and platoon commandors on May 19, 2011. As many as 39,315 were found eligible after the test.
Later, one candidate had died during physical test and the state government decided to cancel the whole recruitment process and conduct fresh recruitment with changes in some rules.
The court has termed this decision as 'illogical'.
