More than 43.58 lakh tonnes of wheat arrive in Haryana mandis
In Haryana, more than 43,58 lakh tonnes of wheat has so far arrived in various mandis during the current procurement season.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Food and Supplies Department said the government agencies have procured more than 43.58 lakh MT of wheat whereas 626 MT of wheat have been purchased by trader.
He said that Hafed has purchased maximum 15.23 lakh MT of wheat, Food and Supplies Department 12.75 lakh MT, Agro Industries Corporation 4.03 lakh MT, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 4.53 lakh MT, Confed one lakh MT and Food Corporation of India had procured 6.01 lakh MT of wheat during current procurement season so far.
He said district Karnal was leading in the wheat arrival where 5.47 lakh MT of wheat has arrived in the mandis, followed by Kaithal with 5.24 lakh MT.
Similarly, 4.76 lakh MT wheat arrived in district Jind, whereas 4.58 lakh MT of wheat in Sirsa, 3.5 lakh MT in Kurukshetra, 3.58 lakh MT in Fatehabad, 2.61 lakh MT in Sonipat, 2.15 lakh MT in district Panipat and 2.39 lakh MT in Hisar.
