'Holy Ornament' of Lord Kirshaa at famed Guruvayur Temple, which went missing 29 years ago, was found in a well close to the Sanctum Sanctourm inside the temple while it was dried for clean up today.


A stone-studded 'Holy gold ornament' weighing about 60 grams was today recovered from the well of the famous Sree Krishna temple here, nearly 29 years after it disappeared.

The precious ornament, 'nagapatathali' in local parlance, was found when the well close to the sanctum sanctorum was dried for clean up after the water turned muddy.

The recoverned ornmanet was one of the three holy ornaments went missing in 1985, Devaswoam authorities said.

Two other gold chains, weighing 60 and 40 grams each, was yet to be traced, they said adding that they examined the recovered ornament and confirmed it as the missing item.
