Severe heat wave conditions pevailed in some parts of Assam. Heat wave conditions also prevailed in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and coastal areas of Gujarat.


Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and in remaining parts of Assam.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Gujarat Region, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, and in remaining parts of West Bengal and Sikkim.

They were above normal in some parts of Bihar, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala, and in remaining parts of Gujarat Region.

They were appreciably below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh. They were were below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and Marathwada. They were normal over the rest of the country.

The highest maximum temperature of 43.4 degree Celsius has been recorded at Rentachintala (coastal Andhra Pradesh) in the plains of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalya, Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala.

They may occur at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Haryana,Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, south Chhattisgarh, south Madhya Maharahtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana,Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, north Madhya Maharashtra and Rayalaseema.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at a few places in Kerala. They had also occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather had prevailed over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir,Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Rayalaseema.
