Narendra Modi launched a high profile campaign in Telangana with a scathing attack on the Congress for its 'insensitivity' towards the people's problems and hardships.

The BJP pm pick addressed four rallies in the region during his day-long whirlwind tour of the region.

Winding up his tour by addressing a rally in the sprawling Lal Bahadur Stadium in the city tonight, Modi said, '' The coming elections are very special ones the results of which would be beyond the forecasts of poll experts. ''

He alleged the Congress had always humiliated Telugus, including former President N Sanjeeva Reddy, ex-Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao and former Chief Minister T Anjiah.

Modi maintained that Telangana became a reality not because of any party but because of the supreme sacrifices of hundreds of people, including students and youth. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said the enthusiasm and response of the people to the BJP-TDP rallies had convinced him about Modi becoming the Prime Minister.

Mr Naidu alleged during the ten-year rule of the Congress, corruption had reached new heights and developmental activities come to a halt. Actor and founder-president of Jana Sena Party, Pavan Kalyan, said Modi's stewardship of the nation's governance was the need of the hour.

BJP's Telangana unit president G Kishan Reddy alleged TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao was provoking people in the name of struggles.

Modi also addressed rallies in Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar.

The stadium was packed with a large number of BJP and TDP workers.
