Amritsar and Patiala recorded outright wins in the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament for M L Markan Trophy today.

Amritsar defeated Ropar by 289 runs to obtain six points. Chandigarh routed Ropar by 311 runs and secured six points from this match.

In the first match played at Ropar between Ropar and Amritsar, Ropar started their innings from the overnight score of 14 for 3 in 18.3 overs and were bundled out at 77 in 40.5 overs. Mannat Verma (19), Ishan Goyal (12) and Resham Sharma (29) were only the batsmen who cross the double figures. For Amritsar Amit Sharma (5 for 43), Abhishek Sharma (2 for 30), Rahul Kashyap (1 for 2) and Raghav (1 for 0) were the main wicket takers. Amritsar won by 289 runs and got 6 points while Ropar got zero (0).

In the second match played at PCA Stadium, Mohali between Mohali and Jalandhar, Mohali started their innings from the overnight score of 32 for no loss in 7 overs and declared their innings at 230 for 6 in 79 overs and set a target of 263. Shubman Gill (47), Nirmal Singh (78), Akash Gill (31), Kunwar Singh (17) and Apramdeep Virk (16) were the main run getters for Mohali.

For Jalandhar Prerit Dutta (2 for 50) and Vikas Yadav (2 for 65) were the main wicket takers. By chasing the target of 263 runs, Jalandhar were 29 for 1 in 16 overs at the end of the match. Mohali won the match on first innings lead basis and got 3 points while Jalandhar got 01.
