State DMK Convenor M A S Subramanian today charged that Rs 2000 crore corruption had occurred in the Congress and AINRC rule in the union territory after 2001.


Talking to newspersons here today, Dr Subramanian pointed out to the allocation of coal field in Odisha for Puducherry to generate power. He said an yearly revenue to the tune of Rs 2000 crores to the union territory was blocked by selling the field to a private party.

He also said the Puducherry adminsitration was yet to implement the Essential Commodities Protection Act in UT thus helping to smuggle and hoard essential commodities here.

The rulers were earning a benefit to the tune of Rs 200 crore a year and allowing the price index to shoot up, he alleged.

He charged that corrouption to the tune of Rs.300 crores happened in setting up of the governemnt medical college at a cost of Rs 850 crores.

Listing out a series of corruptions and irregularities against Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Union Minister V Narayansamy, Dr Subramanian exhorted the public to select a 'corruption-free' DMK candidate A M H Nazeem as their choice in the April 24 Lok Sabha elections.
