Teach Jaya a lesson, says Stalin
DMK Tresurer M K Stalin today said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was not concerned about the plight of the people of State and called upon the people to teach her a 'suitable lesson' in the April 24 Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing a series of election campaign meetings seeking support for party's nominee Mu Anbazhagan contesting from the Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha Constituency, Mr Stalin also accused Ms Jayalalithaa of concealing the various development works undertaken by the previous DMK Government.
Listing out several projects implemented for Tiruchirapalli by the previous DMK Government such as commencement of Dr K A P Viswanatham Government Medical College, new building for the district collectorate, Rs 30 crore check dam across river Cauvery, he alleged the present AIADMK rule in the past three years had nothing for Tiruchirapalli.
Similarly, in the past three years of AIADMK rule, crimes have been rising by the day and instead of detecting them, the police allegedly indulged in targeting the minorities, he alleged.
Asking the electorate to 'think before they vote,' Mr Stalin said the people should understand that the DMK, whether in power or not, had always been with the people.
