CPI(M) condemns killing of headman, Sarpanch and his son in Kashmir
The Communist Party of India (M) has strongly condemned the killing of village headman, a sarpanch and his son in south Kashmir district of Pulwama late last night.
In a statement here today, the CPI(M) state secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said the killing of village headman Mohammad Anwar Sheikh of Amlar, Sarpanch Ghulam Nabi Mir and his son Firdous Ahmad of village Batagund in South Kashmir was inhuman.
"Such incidents are inhuman and unfortunate and the society must come out and express itself against such brutal acts of violence," he said.
The violence in all its manifestations is condemnable as violence begets violence and urged that all voices should come together to condemn such acts of violence.
Expressing sympathies with the bereaved family, the CPI(M) leader has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to family members of the victims and demanded that those responsible for the reprehensible act must be immediately be brought to book.
