Congress responsible for growing corruption: BJP
Firing a salvo at the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government for failing to control corruption, BJP president Rajnath Singh today said the problem would be dealt with stern hands, if his party forms the next government at the Centre.
"The people of the country will witness a remarkable change, if BJP prime minister pick and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi forms the next government," Mr Singh said addressing an election meeting here.
Mr Modi has set an example to all other governments by presenting his Gujarat model of development, the senior BJP leader said adding, the same will happen for the whole nation, if he holds the coveted post of the PM.
He further blamed the Congress-led UPA for failing to control the corruption in its 10 years long rule and charged it with committing 'Jija Ji Ghotala' (brother-in-law scam).
Without taking the name of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, Mr Singh said both Ms Gandhi and his son Rahul Gandhi are tight-lipped over the allegations on Mr Vadra.
"How can anyone convert Rs one lakh to Rs 300 crores so soon," he questioned. The BJP president further asked the people to vote his party for betterment of the country.
