Terry offered new one-year contract at Chelsea with massive pay-cut
Chelsea captain John Terry has reportedly been offered a new one-year contract at the club, but must accept a massive pay-cut to his current 1,50,000 pounds-a-week contract.
The skipper's current 1,50,000 pounds-a-week deal will reportedly expire this summer and his salary could be cut in half if he agrees to stay Stamford Bridge next season.
According to the Mirror, Chelsea has a policy that players over 30 years of age are offered only a year's extension and less pay.
The new offer for Terry has thrown the 33-year-old star's future into doubt as he faces a major dilemma over whether he should quit the club he loves and where a fans' banner at Stamford Bridge famously proclaims him as 'Captain, Leader, Legend', the report added.
