BJP accuses Congress of stealing Modi slogan
New Delhi, Jan 24 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday accused the ruling Congress party of lifting a tagline used by its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi three years ago.
The Congress party's ad, featuring it campaign chief for 2014 general elections Rahul Gandhi, appeared in Friday's national dailies.
The BJP has accused that the slogan 'Main Nahi, Hum', used by the Congress, had been coined by Modi in 2011 for a "Chintan Shivir" in Gujarat.
Reacting to Congress's ad, senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha said, "They are copycats. They are in desperation and are ready to go to any extent."
