YSRCP chief Jagan files nomination for Pulivendula
YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy filed his nomination papers from Pullivendula Assembly constituency in Kadapa district here today.
Mr Jagan, accompanied by his uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy and other senior party leaders, took part in the event.
He is contesting in an Assembly election for the first time. He won from Kadapa Parliamentary constituency twice in 2009 and 2011.
However, Mr Jagan's mother and YSRCP President YS Vijayamma also filed her nomination papers for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat.
Ms Vijayamma was accompanied by her daughter Sharmila. She filed her nomination papers at Visakhapatnam District Collector's office after garlanding the statue of YSR at Maddilapalem.
Pullivendula goes to polls on May 7.
