The import of poultry products in Uttar Pradesh districts lying close to the international border of Nepal has been restricted, owing to the alleged avian infleunza in birds there.


Chief Veterinary Officer Bhagwan Shrivastava here today said that the chickens and birds are suspected to be affected with avian flu in Nepal.

Hence, the import of polutry products from the neighbouring country has been restricted.

Besides, the poultry farms and importers of Balrampur, Bahraich and Shrawasti districts lying close to the international border have been asked to test the virus.
