Putting all speculations of conflicting political interests to rest, Amloh MLA Kaka Randeep Singh and former MLA from Nabha Ramesh Singla campaigned for three time MP and Congress candidate from Patiala Preneet Kaur here today.

The Nabha MLA said that the state government is using its entire machinery to defeat Ms Kaur. 'But we will ensure her victory', he claimed and said that the Badal government has totally failed in governing the state and the electorate of the state will teach it a fitting lesson.

Ms Kaur alleged that the farmers were a 'worried and harassed lot' in the state as the procurement of wheat was not done on war footing.

The weather was very uncertain and the peasants were worried that rain could ruin their crop.

She said that she was very disappointed that the pension scheme, the shagun scheme and scholarships to the poor and needy students were not being distributed.

The state was reeling under a huge debt and there was hardly any money in the state exchequer after paying the salaries of government employees, she added.

Appealing to the voters, Ms Kaur said 'only Congress will be able to keep the country united and secular. For a secular and prosperous India, it was important that a stable government with a vision of all inclusiveness governs'.

She also appealed to women voters to come out on April 30 and exercise their right to vote.

As the country stood at across road, each and every Indian should take responsibility to vote for a stable government.

She further claimed that Congress has ruled for the last one decade in which tremendous strides were made to make the system more transparent.

RTI is one of the biggest achievements of the Manmohan Singh government in which an ordinary citizen can apply for most of the information pertaining to govern, she claimed.

MNREGA is one of the flagship schemes under which the economically weaker section of the society is assured work and dignity, she added.
