Himachal experiences mild snowfall at high reaches
High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced mild snowfall and down streams were lashed with light rain showers as it was cloudy today.
Reports arriving from Chamba, Lahaul Spiti, Kinnuar and Kullu said mild snowfall experienced in the last 24 hrs on most of high reaches.
In Kinnuar district, Kalpa had two meter rainfall and Moorang one centimeter. In Chamba district, Bharmaur was coldest as recorded low at minus two degrees followed by Keylong in Lahaul Spiti minus 0.5 degrees, Kalpa 2 degrees, tourist resort Manali 5 degrees, Chamba and Bhuntar 9 degrees each, Sundernagar and Dalhousie 10 degrees each.
Dharmshala, Solan and Hamirpur 12 degrees each, Palampur and Kangra 13 degrees each, Nahan 14 and Mandi 15 degrees, respectively.
The Met office forecast rain and snowfall at many places in mid and high reaches and rain and thundershowers at many places in foot hills in the next 24 hrs.
