Asserting that her father is very tough, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh 's daughter Daman Singh has asked why he should be apologetic or embarrassed when he has not done anything wrong.

Reacting to growing criticism of Dr Singh after a book written by his former media adviser Sanjaya Baru, Ms Daman Singh, in an interview to a national daily, said he (Dr Singh) will not let anything come in his way he has a strong sense of duty and he will about work as usual. I am sure.

She said her father was very tough and he was taking this with usual calmness as he did with all other problems.

Recalling her sister Ms Upinder Singh 's reaction on the Baru 's book, Ms Daman Singh said she (Upinder) had articulated the feelings of the entire family. she had said that mr Baru's book was like a stab in the back and a huge betrayal of trust.
