Modi takes on AIADMK , DMK, says they only want to be in power
On a day when his friend and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa criticised the saffron party directly during electioneering for the April 24 Lok Sabha polls, BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi returned the compliment, strongly criticising her AIADMK party as well as the DMK.
Kicking off his campaign in Tamil Nadu seeking votes for the BJP led NDA Front, which has three other regional parties including actor politician Vijaykant's DMDK, PMK, MDMK plus two small parties, Mr Modi alleged that neither AIADMk nor DMK really had done anything for the interest of the state.
The AIADMK and the DMK are only interested in coming to power. Their agenda is only to keep the other out of power, the Gujarat Chief Minister alleged.
Wooing the voters Mr Modi promised that the bJP led NDA would protect the interest of fishermen and ensure development of all sections if it comes to power at the Centre.
He said the BJP led new Front-the third vis-a vis the ones being led by the ruling AIADMK and opposition DMK, has the other regional parties with it and this would strengthen its efforts to protect the interest of Tamil Nadu.
Mr Modi, who is to continue his campaigning in the state on April 16 amd 17, also repeated his criticism of the Congress led UPA government at the Centre.
