Development and people's welfare were main agenda of the YSR Congress (YSRC) manifesto that was released by party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy here today.


Releasing the manifesto, Mr Jagan said party's plans, programmes and promises put forth before the people during the last four years had been incorporated in the manifesto.

The main agenda of the party was to implement late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's ambitious plans and programme for the welfare of majority of the people besides fast development of the state.

Listing out developments in various fields during Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's regime, Mr Reddy said IT exports during the YSR government were to the tune of Rs 25,000 crore as against Rs 5,000 crore during N Chandrababu Naidu rule.

Similarly, the industrial growth during YSR Government was ten per cent, while it was just one per cent during Mr Naidu headed government. Before Mr Naidu came to power, the industrial growth was eight per cent in the state, he added.
