DMK calls for revolt against CM
DMK president M Karunanidhi tonight appealed to the political parties to prepare for a revolt against Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for indulging in corrupt practices and her anti people attitude.
Mr Karunanidhi made this observation, while addressing a the election campaign meeting here today, seeking votes for the party's candidates--Mu Anbazhagan of Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha constituency, M Chinnasamy of Karur constituency and Seemanur Prabhu of Perambalur seat.
"If such revolt takes place then there is no need for a law to punish Ms Jayalalithaa," he said amidst the gathering.
Almost stopping short of threatening state Chief Minister, Mr Karunanidhi said the peoples court was ultimate supreme and if they had any chances they would teach a suitable lesson to the people like Jayalalithaa.
Raking up the inflation issue, he said the Chief Minister had failed to check the price hike, as she was busy in amassing wealth.
He said the DMK party would fight continuously for the cause of working class, poor and downtrodden people, and called up on the people to vote for the DMK candidates in the April 24 Lok Sabha election.
Earlier Mr Karunanidhi also addressed a similar campaign meeting at Thanjavur, seeking vote for the former Union Minister and party's Thanjavur Lok sabha constituency.
