YSRCP honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi today appealed to voters to give her party 30 MP seats in the state, which could enable the party to bring required funds from the Centre for the development of the area.

Addressing an election meeting at Tsundur in the district. she said if her husband and former Chief Minister Y S Raja Sekhar Reddy were alive, no leader would have dared to demand for separate Telangana state.

Taking a dig at Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababau Naidu, she alleged that he was responsible for the winding up of 54 public sector industries in the state, rendering about seven lakh employees jobless.

She assured that her son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would resolve the problems of people and he would be like one of their family members. Ms Vijayalakshmi is touring the district addressing election meetings at a number of places.
