Nara Lokesh, son of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu, kickstarted his election campaign at Nimmakuru village, the native place of his grandfather, TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

Addressing a gathering, he called upon people to defeat the Congress and YSR Congress party.

He said he felt it was fortunate to him to launch campaign, christened as 'Yuva Prabhanjanam' from Nimmakuru village, as it was the birth place of his grandfather N T Rama Rao.

Mr Lokesh said he had launched Yuva Prabhajanam campaign to explain people the development to be achieved during the next 10 years in the residuary AP state.

TDP, if voted to power, would construct a social Telangana state and achieve a massive development in residuary Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, Mr Lokesh was accorded a warm welcome by MP K Nasrayana, district TDP President D Umamaheshwara Rao and a large number of TDP activists at Gannavaram airport.

He has to address a couple of public meetings today.
