Guinness book record holder for writing more than one hundred international books on ophthalmology Dr Ashok Garg of Hisar has been felicitated and conferred International Ophthalmology Congress (IOC) award in the biennial global conference of ophthalmologists held at Tokyo from April 2 to April 6.

About fifteen thousand eye experts from 125 countries took part in the IOC.

On this occasion Dr Bruce Spivey, president of IOC released the video atlas prepared by Dr Garg on new diseases of eyes. More than one thousand research papers were presented in this international conference.According to Dr Garg stem cell and gene therapy were the main topics of the global conference.

Dr Spivey praised the research work of Dr.Garg and said his books are being read by the medical students, teachers and surgeons all over the world and have proved very beneficial in the advanced research to cure eyes.
