Four accused were remanded to judicial custody till April 23 in the case of planting pipe bomb at Union Minister of State for PMO V Narayansamy's house January 29.


The accused R Thiruselvam of Poovachipatti (33), M Thangaraj (37) alias Thamilarasan, Kaviyarasan (29) alias Raja of Andakudi, Thiruselvam's brother Kaalai alias Kaalailingam,were produced before Puducherry Principal District and Sessions Judge C S Murugan today by the National Investigation Agency, which probed the case.

However, the chief judge of Puducherry did not give any order on the petition for custody today. The four were taken to the Kalapet Central prison.

The accused were brought here from Madurai by an armed police team of Tamil Nadu last night. The team was led by Inspector Rathinam and Sub Inspector Gubendiran. The accused were lodged in the Cuddalore prison last evening. The accused, belonging to 'Thamizhar Viduthalai Padai', were arrested following the investigation conducted in connection with the planting a pipe bomb in a supermarket on the outskirts of Madurai.
