DMK agnositic but cadres turn to God for blessing to candidate
Ideologically the opposition DMK does not believe in God. But the party cadres, especially the women seem to think otherwise, exhibiting lot of faith.
Before they commenced their campaign in favour of the party's nominee for Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha constituency Mu. Anbazhagan here, the cadres offered prayers seeking God's blessing for his victory.
The women cadres lit lamps in temples located in the areas where they commence campaigning, and compel Mr Anbazhagan, the former DMK Minister and Party's Tiruchirapalli District Secretary K N Nehru and other local partymen to offer worship at the temples along with them. They also offer special prayers in these temples before campaigning.
What's more, this is evoking response from public who come to these temples in the early hours of the day. Utilising this opportunity, Mr Mu Anbazhagan has been having one to one chats with them as well the public around and appeal to them to vote for him.
Mr Anbazhagan and Mr Nehru also offer prayers at the temples for all DMK party candidates, accepting the temple honours and prasadaam without any hesitation.
This morning,Mr Nehru and Mr Anbazhagan commenced their campaign in Keelapudur area, one of the strongholds of the ruling AIADMK in the city, visiting all the temples in that area and caught the attention of the local residents.
Mr Nehru pointed out that if Mr Anbazhagan was elected, basic amenities for a number of areas in the city especially in Keelapudur area, would be provided at the earliest.
Mr Anbazhagan himself assureds that he would solve the drinking water problem in Keelapudur area by approaching the officials concerned if he was elected.
