Twitter acquires android-based app 'Cover'
Twitter has recently acquired the android app, which allows user to customize their lock screens called 'Cover'.
According to Cnet, Twitter and Cover both believe in the never-ending capabilities of Android and share the thought that smartphones can be smarter.
Cover was launched in October last year and took the market by storm in very little time.
Cover has announced to remain in the Google Play store for now.
While Twitter's idea behind the acquisition is still unclear, a Twitter spokesperson said that company has nothing to share except the information on its blog.
However, this acquisition has raised Twitter's share by 0.4 percent.
